Emily Smith helps others relax and strengthen. Emily earned a BS in Human Development and Family Studies from Pennsylvania State University is a licensed massage therapist and has advanced training in John F Barnes' Myofascial Release Approach. She is certified in pilates with the Physicalmind Institute and has completed teacher training in yin yoga, Women's Radiant Lotus Qigong and Original Strength.
Emily's work instructing movement began with teaching pilates in 2002 in Colorado, where she opened, owned and eventually sold pilates/yoga/massage business, Trinity Wellness Studio in Frisco, CO. Professional training in massage and MFR followed her return to east coast roots in 2010. She began working with her hands as a myofascial release and massage therapist and teaching liquidbody in 2013. Emily is heartfelt in her curiosity and passion for understanding the body's way of healing and is a gardener at heart. simple human movement is a healing arts studio located in Narberth and Chestnut Hill where Emily Smith offers myofascial release, massage, pilates and movement instruction. Emily guides a weekly group movement self massage/myofascial release class, liquidbody in Wynnewood and Chestnut Hill.
