Nancy Sabin graduated Sargent College of Allied Health Professions at Boston University in 1981. She began studying with John Barnes, PT, in 1985, and assisted teaching his MFR classes since 1988. For over 11 years, Nancy worked in Rehabilitation clinics helping people with Strokes, Head Injuries, Spinal Cord Injuries, Amputations, Hip Replacements or Fractures, and Neurological diseases to regain their function. She incorporated MFR treatment in those settings with excellent results. She then worked for 3 years in schools, with children experiencing Sensory Motor or Learning problems, or Neurological problems.
Meanwhile, her Private Practice had begun building itself, just because Myofascial Release focuses on the all-pervasive Fascial system that was often being ignored in standard Medicine or therapies. Now, for over 27 years, by releasing strong fascial restrictions, clients have been able to decrease pain and symptoms that had been impairing their levels of comfort and function in daily activities.
In 1990, Nancy became a Doula, assisting women and their families to prepare for, and go through the birthing process. Nancy has attended many births, and though not taking on new Doula cases presently, she helps many women with pregnancy-related discomforts.
