I love using MFR with my clients because it is the most effective tool I know for helping people improve their lives, by freeing up their bodies. The results can be felt and seen immediately and often just one or two treatments are enough to create permanent change.
MFR is tailored to each client's needs. Each client is unique and yet our bodies all respond similarly to the controlled healing touch and energy that is MFR. I have had the privilege and unique learning opportunity of performing MFR with hundreds of clients since I took my first course with John in 1991.
My own background includes ten years of performing as a ballet dancer, then getting licensed and working as a Physical Therapist in a large sports medicine clinic, and finally moving out into private practice since 2005. The private practice gives me the freedom to do exactly what I feel is appropriate for each client, using MFR as my main treatment.
Generally, at the end of an MFR session I may suggest certain movement patterns or stretches, designed for each person, and which help sustain the changes induced by the bodywork. Ideal posture, strength, and grace of movement are all facilitated by MFR.
My goal for each client I work with is not just the elimination of pain or tightness but the creation of a better, fully energized way to live in their body.
